From initial impressions, it's a good firearm. Actually quite accurate for a 2.5" barrel, and I was impressed by the smooth cycle and reasonable recoil for a firearm so small. I do think the trigger pull is extremely long though, even for a DOA.Pro's-. accurate and a smith. Cons-. Expensive and out of production. Is not easy to silence. Mags may get really expensive. can be ammo sensitive. More of a collector than a shooter, imho. A little late on the post and new to the forum, but had to chime in about my Eastfield 916-a 12 ga. I bought mine at a pawn shop for $100. It was a little difficult to find a replacement stock for it, but I finally did. From initial impressions, it's a good firearm. Actually quite accurate for a 2.5" barrel, and I was impressed by the smooth cycle and reasonable recoil for a firearm so small. If it's strictly for the range, the full sized SR1911 will have a slight edge because of the longer sight radius over the CMD.
