Remember to start your burn at 1/2 the length of the burn minus the maneuver node. So for a 30 second burn, you start at -15 seconds BEFORE hitting the node. After that, I'd set up another maneuver node to try to fix any errors that came from the first one. After that, I'd do a touch up with a few puffs of RCS to make it perfect.. Big booty black holes

Then you take Ike's orbit altitude, more or less. In-game mod Transfer window planner is a bit better because it actually shows ejection angle in map view. So with that you are very close to perfect transfer. Almost like you were starting from Duna orbit. Fiddling is always fine. If you have nothing against mods, you can use Transfer Window Planner, as it will show you the ejection angle in the map view.
