This guide will not be incredibly in depth, but it will at least go through what I think are the necessary steps to successfully train Crossbow Dwarves. When you set up schedules, have the squad train every other month. Also, set the schedules so you split your dwarfs into groups of two for the month of training. For "Training" (only), consider the "minimum" as a "maximum", since they have no issues leaving training to eat/drink/sleep. Set your training minimum back to 10 and see.
